Business and IT Diagrams (B&ITs)

A Stroma® B&IT diagram is a picture that captures the alignment of Business and IT resources.

B&IT diagrams map and document the logical and physical relationships between an organisation’s business operations and the IT resources that support them.

By employing the OBASHI™ Methodology B&IT diagrams are able to accurately depict the complex inter-relationships and dependencies of business processes, IT resources and dataflows in an easy-to-understand visual format.

They enable the responsibilities, roles, risks and costs of every IT resource (or group of IT resources) employed in support of each business activity (and/or set of business activities) to be clearly visualised and, thus, understood.

B&ITs are built using the Stroma® Modeller, which acts as interactive interface between the user and the Stroma® computer model.

The Modeller also enables the user to edit, format, report and print B&ITs. They can be printed any size from A4 to extended A0.

Regardless of size, any organisation’s business activities, IT resources and data flows can be represented by a series of B&IT diagrams - all linked back to a central Stroma® model.
