The OBASHI™ Methodology

Stroma® utilises a clear, simple, and logical method to capture and portray complex relationships between Business and IT resources.

The OBASHI™ Methodology incorporates six "layers". On a Stroma® B&IT diagram these layers provide a framework for organising the elements that represent individual Business or IT resources. B&IT diagrams also capture the relationships between elements. Because a B&IT diagram is intelligent, relationships are created between elements depending on where they are positioned and then connected within, and between, OBASHI™ layers.

The six layers are:

  • B usiness Process
  • A pplication
  • S ystem
  • H ardware
  • I nfrastructure
